As a result of cash contribution toward seed funding and other considerations, AdapCS, Inc. of Marina, California has assumed an equity interest in GluMetrics, LLC. "AdapCS has a special interest in corporate development with an emphasis on facilitating the transition of academic research to practical applications in healthcare and GluMetrics is a manifestation of that interest," says Dr. Kelly O'Keefe, Chairman of AdapCS.
The founding principals of GluMetrics have announced the formation of their company under the Limited Liability provisions of the State of California.
Marina, California has been identified as the location for the GluMetrics company headquarters. GluMetrics, LLC will be located in the Monterey Bay Education, Science, and Technology Center of the University of California, Santa Cruz (UC MBEST). This multi-partner research and development center is aimed at developing innovative solutions to emerging issues of the 21st Century.
GluMetrics' mission is to bring revolutionary biotechnology to the healthcare industry. GluMetrics' core technology is a glucose-sensing polymer that glows in the presence of glucose and has a broad range of applications in clinical medicine.
The principals of GluMetrics, numbering over half a dozen, come from a variety of disciplines in science, business, and corporate finance. Many have doctorate level training and decades of industrial and/or academic experience in clinical medicine, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, corporate accounting, law, business administration, business finance, and business communication.
