GluMetrics, LLC has announced that it has entered into an operating agreement with AdapCS, Inc. AdapCS will provide management services for GluMetrics on a continuing basis.
As part of this agreement, Kurt Sligar, M.D., M.H.A., will serve as Chief Executive Officer of GluMetrics. Dr. Sligar is a board certified Neurologist with two decades of community, military, and academic clinical practice. Over the past 12 years he has served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer for several large healthcare systems and insurance providers. Dr. Sligar currently serves in senior management roles in AdapCS and AdapCS Canada. He is a nationally recognized healthcare consultant with expertise in business development, operations and process improvement.
"Glumetrics will play a key role in advancing the care of diabetic patients worldwide. I am pleased to be leading Glumetrics through the next phase of its development," says Dr. Sligar.
Kelly O'Keefe, M.D., Ph.D., also from AdapCS, will provide management oversight for GluMetrics research and development. Dr.O'Keefe is trained in both analytical chemistry and medicine and has been involved in several successful technology startups.
Dr. Sligar replaces Larimore Cummins, M.D., who will continue to work with GluMetrics in an operational and strategic planning role. Todd Wipke, Ph.D., the founder of GluMetrics, remains the company's Chairman.
