GluMetrics, LLC has restructured its management team. GluMetrics is a biotechnical medical device company based in Marina, California, and has been an early-phase corporate development partner of AdapCS. GluMetrics is dedicated to the development of innovative metabolic monitoring technology with a special interest in glucose control.
William H. Markle has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, while David Markle, Ph.D., has been named Chief Technical Officer. AdapCS Chairman Larimore Cummins, M.D. serves on the GluMetrics Board of Directors and was its founding CEO. He will continue his role on the GluMetrics Board. Additionally, John Alexander has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
"Bill has a wealth of experience bringing new products to market in the area of high-tech medical devices. We are very excited to have him join the team," said John Alexander of the company's new CEO. William Markle has most recently held senior management positions with two notable start-up companies, Tensys Medical and Masimo Corp.
"David's unique experience in developing fiber optic-based sensors for measuring blood chemistry will have a very favorable impact on time-to-market for GluCath, our device for measuring blood glucose within the hospital setting," said Larimore Cummins of the company's new Chief Technical Officer.
